Meet the people behind the company
Based in Shrewsbury, a professional, adaptable and results-driven Chartered Accountant with a wealth of experience in areas such as relationship management, man management, business transformation, financial modelling and business reporting, business evaluation, financial due diligence and performance improvement.
My main focus now is in supporting businesses in what are best described as Part Time CFO/FD roles, helping businesses help themselves and get more out of their existing systems and processes. This includes helping businesses put together Business Plans and cash forecasting models, built around professional financial models which are key to underpinning the credibility of the overall plan.
Remote working has really opened up the flexibility of such a role and for many businesses this is a real option for managing finances in a growing or already substantial business.
Prior to 16 years as FD / CFO of one of the UK's largest Social Care companies I held senior finance positions at the UK's largest Nursing Home Group working alongside many of the sectors most well known Executives.
The experience of helping to build successful businesses enables me to advise growing businesses on the practical aspects of developing processes and systems to support the growing enterprise. In many cases this will be helping businesses to help themselves, both in terms of systems and reporting developments, as well as the training and mentoring of staff.
I graduated from Bristol University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990. On qualifying I immediately moved from practice and has spent 27 years working for the market leading companies in both residential and social care.
In my last role as Finance Director/CFO I was responsible for the development and operation of all of the financial systems, and built a team that supported a business that went from a single branch to an operation with in excess of 50 branches, employing in more than 5,000 employees.
